ZSNES provides numerous save states from 0 to 99 (file extensions .ZS0, ZS1, .ZS2, and so on). They can be saved using the "Save State" option under the "Game" menu. NOTE: ZSNES save states are different than in-game save states. ZSNES save states may be created at any point during gameplay whereas in-game save states typically are controlled by the progress within the game.
