WU8 was developed by Wiimm for SZS Tools, which is a collection of tools used to modify Nintendo Wii game data files and archives. The format is commonly used in the homebrew and modding communities. To create a WU8 file, use one of the following SZS Tools commands: wszst normalize --wu8 example.szs wszst compress --wu8 example.szs wszst uncompress --wu8 example.szs The normalize command creates a normalized version of the example.szs track without altering the compression state. The compress command creates a Yaz0-compressed version of the example.szs track file. The uncompress command creates a Yaz0-compressed version of the example.szs track file.
