If you wish to migrate QuickBooks 2012 data to a Windows version of QuickBooks, export the file as a .QBB file by choosing File → Back Up to QuickBooks for Windows... and then import the QBB file into the Windows version of the software by choosing File → Open or Restore Company. NOTE: Previous versions of QuickBooks for Mac use the extensions .QB2011, .QB2010, etc. However, these extensions are considered legacy since the QuickBooks 2012 release.
