XBAP files can be compiled using Microsoft Visual Studio. They require Microsoft's .NET framework to be installed in order to run. They may be deployed from a Web server or as a standalone application and can be started in Internet Explorer or Firefox. NOTE: XAML browser applications are Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) programs that run in the browser.
