The QUICKEN2016BACKUP file is designed for users looking to secure their account information from the .QUICKEN2016 file. In case the QUICKEN2016 file becomes corrupt or is lost, the backup file can be used to restore the information. To create a backup file in Quicken, simply select File → Save a Backup... and choose the destination folder.
