Save state file created by ZSNES, an SNES emulator program; contains a snapshot save state from an emulated SNES game; used for saving and loading game progress; may be used to save state at any point during gameplay.

ZSNES provides numerous save states from 0 to 99 (file extensions .ZS0, .ZS1, .ZS2, and so on). To change the save state slot file that is used, press the "F3" key and use the arrow keys to navigate to the desired state. NOTE: A ZSNES save state is not the same as an in-game save state. A game may only allow a user to save state at specific game milestones whereas ZSNES save states can be created at any time during gameplay.
