Painter uses the .PAPERS file to store individual paper types and the PAPERLIBRARY file is used to hold a library of paper types, or PAPERS files.
To view, import, or export a PAPERLIBRARY file, select Window → Paper Panels → Paper Libraries. In this panel, you can choose to import, or export a library of paper types.
