Locator file used by TrackMania racing games; contains a URL that directly links to custom content, such as cars, skins, horns, and avatars, you are using in the game.

The LOC file is used by TrackMania games to transfer content from a direct download server to you or another player. When you join a game, other players can download your custom content from the URL instead of going through a P2P (Peer-to-peer) network, which allows players to download your content faster and save bandwidth. You can create a LOC file with any text editor. Go to the folder that contains your content you want to share, right click, select New → Text document. Then, name the file the same name as the content file you're creating the LOC file for (example.zip becomes example.zip.loc) and save it in the same folder. You can then insert the URL of the file host that is hosting your content into the LOC file. The host must support direct download, which is when the host enables immediate file download as soon as you visit the URL.
