Kaspersky Virus Database File

Classification:data file
Update file used by Kaspersky Lab's system security software; contains virus definitions that are used for detecting and quarantining viruses; may also be used during the system rescue process for removing malicious software; may be downloaded periodically for keeping the software and definitions up-to-date.

instruction:

KDC files are commonly named with a three-letter prefix followed by a three-digit counter for the file update number (i.e., base001.kdc, base002.kdc, etc.). In Mac OS X, KDC files are located within the /Library/Application Support/Kaspersky Lab/KAV/Bases/ directory. NOTE: Antivirus definitions are also referred to as "bases" for Kaspersky antivirus software products.

Classification:camera raw files
Bitmap image format used by several Kodak digital cameras, including the Kodak DC40, Kodak DC50, and Kodak DC120; can be viewed using the Kodak software included with the camera or with some third-party programs; also known as a Kodak Photogen file.

instruction:

NOTE: KDC files created with newer Kodak cameras may not be recognized in earlier versions of Photoshop CS.
