Quiz file created by Hot Potatoes, a program used to create online activities; contains a quiz that consists of one or more multiple choice or short answer questions.

The Hot Potatoes software package was created by a group of programmers at the University of Victoria in Canada. The program can be used to create a variety of activities, such as fill-in-the blanks, jumbled sentences, and crossword puzzles, and shared on the web. Each activity is saved with a different file extension. NOTE: In 2009, development of the software ceased but it is still available to download and use for free.
