Snippet created by InDesign, a desktop publishing program used to create professional page layouts; contains a subset of a document, which includes one or more objects and their relative placement to each other; used for exporting and reusing portions of a page.
instruction:
IDMS files can be created by selecting one or more objects and dragging and dropping them to the desktop. They can also be exported with InDesign by selecting File → Export.
NOTE: Prior to InDesign CS4, snippets were stored as .INDS files.
