Garry's Mod Save File

When you save game progress in Garry's Mod, a GMS file is created to store the save information. You can save a game by holding "Q" on the keyboard, which opens the menu, select the "Saves" tab on the right, and click Save. You can also type the "F6" key as a shortcut.
GMS files are created by default in the following location in the game installation folder:
\GarrysMod\garrysmod\save

Gesture and Motion Signal File

The GMS file format is a minimal binary format used to organize and store gesture and motion signals. It contains gestures (human motions) that people can use to control computers.

The GMS format stores only the minimal features needed to represent movement and gesture information. These include flexible dimensionality for movements, encoded variables, versatile structuration, and spatial and temporal properties.
GMS files are supported by the LibGMS library.
