A DCMF file is a catalog file created by DiskCatalogMaker, a disc file cataloging application for Mac OS X. It contains a database of files that are stored on multiple discs and is used for storing searchable information about one or more discs. DCMF files are similar to .DCM files, which are not as common.

If you receive or find a DiskCatalogMaker DCMF file, you can only open it in DiskCatalogMaker. There is no other program available that supports the format. A DCMF catalog file is similar to a .DCMD catalog, except it does not support thumbnail images for bitmap images and video files. You can convert a DCMF file to a .DCMD file by opening the file in DiskCatalogMaker, selecting File → Save As..., and then choosing to save as a DCMD file. NOTE: A version of DiskCatalogMaker is included with Roxio Toast disc authoring software. It is called DiscCatalogMaker RE (Roxio Edition).
