A CMAP file is a game data file used by Mouldy Toof Studios The Escapists, a strategy game where the player attempts to escape a prison. It contains a map of a prison, which includes doors, walls, cells, inmates, guards, warden notes, vents, prisoner stashes, and the escape point. CMAP files may store maps created by the developer or other users.

You most likely will not see a CMAP file unless you load new maps that have been created or modified by other users into the game. You can modify maps with the map editor included with The Escapists. CMAP files can be found in the following location: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Escapists\Data\Maps
