A BNK file is a data file created by Turning Technologies ExamView, a program used to create assignments and assessment questions to evaluate student performance. It contains a bank of one or more questions created by the Test Generator tool included with ExamView. BNK files can be opened by the Question Bank Editor, which is part of ExamView.

In order to open a BNK file in ExamView you must be using the Question Bank Editor module in ExamView. You can identify which module you are using by looking at the active module name displayed in the title bar of the ExamView window. To switch to the Question Bank Editor module, select File → Switch to Question Bank Editor.

Playlist created by Spotify, a music streaming program; contains your playlist data, which are the tracks you've added to the playlist; you typically never see it unless you dig through the program's code.

In Windows, these files are located in the following directory C:\Users\.CONFIG\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\Users\USER_ID. To be safe and protect your playlist from unwanted edits or accidental deletion, you should locate your specific playlist.bnk file in the directory and copy it to another folder on your computer for safekeeping.

The contents of a BNK file can be extracted using a third-party utility, such as TDU Modding Tools. Edited BNK files may be used to modify the gameplay of Test Drive Unlimited.
