TRX files are named by the merchant identifier, a tilde, the batch number, and the ".trx" file extension. For example, "merchant1~3245.trx". Tellan Software, the makers of PC Authorize, the predecessor to WebAuthorize, were purchased by CyberCash in 1999, who was purchased by VeriSign and subsequently PayPal.
