An SESX file contains a session created by Adobe Audition, an audio production application. It saves a multitrack audio project in an XML format but only includes references to the audio files. SESX files do not contain the audio data itself.

SESX file open in Adobe Audition CC 2019 SESX files are only supported by Adobe Audition. You can download a trial or purchase the full version of Audition to open SESX files. You can open an SESX file in Audition by simply double-clicking the file or selecting File → Open in Audition. Audition SESX projects allow you to customize a variety of settings for altering audio. You can also import many different types of audio formats, including .AIF, .FLAC, .AAC, .OGG, .WAV, .OMF, and .MP3. You can create an SESX file in Audition by selecting File → New → Multitrack Session.... NOTE: SESX files replaced .SES files, which are saved in a binary format.
