Paragon Backup Index File

Classification:backup file
A PFI file is a backup index file created by one of Paragon's backup and recovery applications. It contains metadata of the corresponding incremental image, which is used to differentiate between the current and previous state of a backup object. PFI files are designed to help save storage space by only saving the differences between save states.

instruction:

Paragon software is used to create backups of individual files or entire systems. The software creates an initial full backup then creates incremental backups that only save the differences between the new increment and the previous increment. The differences are saved as metadata in the PFI file. NOTE: Any of Paragon's flagship products since Backup & Recovery 12 support the PFI file.
