File created by Microsoft Outlook 2011, a program used for email and calendar management; contains a note, which was created using the Notes section of Outlook; stores the note formatting as well as the written text; used for storing personal and business notes logged by the user.

Users typically do not open OLK14NOTE files directly, since Outlook automatically saves and manages them. They are saved to subdirectories of the following directory: [user]/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/Main Identity/Data Records/Messages/. NOTE: Since OLK14NOTE files are saved in a proprietary format, they are best viewed in Outlook. However, even though they are saved using binary formatting, they also contain plain text fragments that can be viewed with a text editor.
