Document created by MacGourmet Deluxe, a recipe and cookbook organizing program; similar to the .MGOURMET3 file; contains a recipe, cooking note, shopping list, wine note, beer note, cheese note, or reference.

To create a MGOURMET4 document: Open the MacGourmet application, select the New icon in the top left of the window or select File → New, then select the document you want, fill out the appropriate information in the window, and click Save. Once you're ready to export the document, select File → Export..., name the file, choose the location, select "MacGourmet 4 from the Format drop down menu, click Export.
