An IPA file is a program written for Apple iOS devices such as iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. It is downloaded from the Apple iTunes App Store and can be transferred to the iOS device via iTunes when the device is connected to the computer. IPA files can only be played on an iOS device, not on a computer.

IPA files are typically stored in the /Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications/ directory. They are saved in a .ZIP format and can be decompressed with any Zip decompression utility. You can use Cydia Impactor to install IPA files on iOS devices connected to a computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux. The program is free to use. NOTE: iOS applications include games, educational programs, finance and news programs, utilities, and other types of programs.
