CPI files are saved in the AVCHD video format, which was developed jointly by Sony and Panasonic and first released on the Sony Handycam HDR-UX1 digital camcorder in 2006. CPI files are commonly found in the AVCHD/BDMV/CLIPINF directory of HD digital video recording media.
