Finale Auto-save File
Classification:backup file
File created by Finale, a music notation program for instruments, vocals, and more; similar to the Finale .BAKX file; contains auto-save backup data for .MUSX files; updated 2014 version of the Finale .ASV file used in previous releases.
instruction:
To create an ASVX file:
You must first enable the backup creation option.
Select Finale [version] → Preferences....
Select "Save and Print" in the list on the left of the "Preferences" window, check the "Auto Save File(s) Every __ Minutes" checkbox, fill in the amount of minutes, and click OK.
Now when Finale auto-saves your MUSX file, an ASVX file will automatically be created.
